Broad sided and versatile artist of the surreal times in Paris and all over the world.

 

 

Born in Bruhl (Rhine) 1891.

Went to Paris after having constituted Dada in Cologne. Fine surrealistic artist.

Put two times in concentration camps, he emigrated to USA in 1941.

Naturalized french, he dies 1976 in the south of France.

 

Married to Dorothea Tanning
