Actress, photographer, writer, translator

Born 24.8.1906 in Kopenhagen. She travels 1930 by bicycle to Paris and Moscow. Meets Bert Brecht in 1933 and follows him as member of his clan to Moscow, New York and Berlin. 1944 she gives birth to a child, which has Brecht as father, but it dies after a few days. Their love broke apart and she spends lonely years in Berlin. As heavy drinker she is more than once to be found in psychiatric clinics: Dies 16.1.1974 in Berlin's Charité hospital, because her bed catches fire from a cigarette. She is buried in Berlin's Dorotheenstädtischem Friedhof, near Brecht, not as near as Helene Weigel
